WR Dunn was appointed to explore feasibility options on a vacant site adjacent to an established family-run public house, located within the city walls of York. The client was keen to find options to expand and improve the current site to maximise its potential revenue stream.
Following the feasibility options, we were appointed to prepare the planning application and lead a team on Flood Risk Assessment, Structural Engineering advice and pre-planning cost advice.
We were involved from RIBA Stages A onwards and assisted with the preparation of floor plans, elevations and digital visualisations. These proved vital in the discussions with the landowner and Local Planning Authority, and helped secure approval for the introduction of external space.
