This quaint scheme looked to increase the kitchen and dining room area to a late 19th century terraced family home within the historic walled city centre of York. Working closely with the client to fully understand their brief, this refurbishment aimed to provide a larger, more accessible kitchen with a contemporary open plan ground floor and an ideal south-facing summer room with a highly finished landscaped yard beyond. With an aluminium clad warm roof with conservation roof lights and a large, fully glazed aluminium pivot door, this sophisticated extension adds much more to the home than additional floor space and seamlessly bridges the internal and external space of the house.
